Each compartment is numbered 1 through 16, giving you an easy way to keep hardware separated in the same order it was removed. As you disassemble a project, place the hardware from each step into the next numbered compartment. When it is time to put everything back together, simply work through the tray in reverse order.
This larger 7.24" × 7.24" version provides considerably more room than our small sorting tray, making it especially useful for automotive work, appliance repair, power tools, small engines, equipment maintenance, and other projects involving larger fasteners and hardware.

How It Works:
Start with compartment 1 when beginning disassembly and move sequentially through the numbered compartments as the job progresses.
For example, hardware removed during the first step goes into compartment 1, the next group into compartment 2, and so on.
During reassembly, work backward through the numbered compartments. This makes it much easier to remember which screws, clips, washers, or other parts belong to each stage of the repair.
